What is Caliday Cares?
At Caliday School Age Programs, we believe that learning and leadership extend beyond the classroom. Caliday Cares is our community outreach initiative, highlighting how our students, staff, and families give back to the neighborhoods we proudly serve across Maryland. Through acts of kindness and service, we strengthen the connection between our before and after school care programs and the communities that support them.
From donating funds to our elementary school partners, delivering food to healthcare workers, assembling goodie bags for cancer patients, to participating in local charity events like the Red Shoe Shuffle, Caliday Cares celebrates the compassion and leadership of our school-age children and staff. As a trusted non-profit childcare organization in Maryland, we’re committed to creating meaningful community partnerships and making a positive, lasting impact on the families and schools we serve. Our Caliday Community at Emmorton team worked together to create and deliver special gift bags for nurses that contained snacks and energizing drinks to help them power through their day! This gesture is just a fraction of how much we appreciate what these heroes do and we can’t show our gratitude enough!

Gift Bags for Hospital Patients
At William S. James, our Caliday community came together to spread hope and kindness by creating heartfelt cards and thoughtful gift bags for patients undergoing cancer treatment. This meaningful project was led by the Caliday Council, a student leadership initiative within our programs that empowers children to plan and carry out impactful community service activities. The experience touched us all, made even more special by the parents who joined their children in delivering the gifts, showing the incredible strength of our Caliday family.

School Partnerships
Our school partnerships mean everything to us, as we couldn’t deliver the best Caliday Experience without them! To show our appreciation, we provided each of our elementary school partners with a $1,000 check, which they used for needed repairs, equipment, or supplies to benefit their students. It was an honor to give back in a way that directly supports the schools and children we proudly serve.

Red Shoe Shuffle
Our Caliday team, along with our sister brand Celebree School, has participated in The Ronald McDonald House Red Shoe Shuffle for the second year in a row, and this time around, our participation inspired our Caliday families! Ms. Lynn and a student from her Honeygo program even finished the race together!
